Visiting the Parks in Kentucky

Since I have some family in Kentucky, we have had the opportunity to visit the area fairly often. Sometimes when we visit, we try to explore different campgrounds that Kentucky has to offer.

Kentucky is known for horses, blue grass, the Kentucky Derby, the Louisville Slugger Museum and Factory, etc.  There are some gorgeous areas to explore and visit.  We always enjoy going there and hope that some of our stories will encourage others to visit this beautiful state!

When we visited the the Elk and Bison Prairie in Land Between the Lakes on the Kentucky side, we saw this beautiful creature just chillin on the side of the road.  We were privileged to see a whole herd on our journey.  I didn't even realize that Kentucky had a prairie!!!  More about that later.
