Our site, 10, was a nice, wooded site. We had a slab for our camper with 50-amp electric. There is no water at the site, but there are spigots around the campground to get potable water. There is also a dump station. This campground is open year-round and has lots of wildlife to enjoy. There are hiking trails and playgrounds for the kiddies!
We went to this campground during the winter and the weather was cool at night, but nice during the day. We were able to ride our bikes around the campground. The roads were paved and easy to ride.
You can use the downed trees for firewood. This area is prone to hurricanes and there are enough downed trees to cut up for a campfire. Since it was winter, we took advantage of having a nice campfire so we can still enjoy outside. We have a small battery-powered saw making it easy to cut up the firewood.
There is a dock that you can fish from. This campground is on the White Oak River which has a salt marsh. The water is brackish, and you can see tiny crabs running around in the water. You may even see a dolphin! There is lots of wildlife to view from the hiking trails. The campground has a boat launch and a swimming area.
Cedar Point is close to shopping and amenities. It is a short drive to Emerald Isle and Atlantic Beach. We explored the area and the waterfront. We enjoyed our stay at Cedar Point Campground and may go back again during the warmer weather to take advantage of water activities like fishing and kayaking.
